Laser Level

With the hull back on the jig in a cradle, it was time to re-level the whole assembly. Without the the bracing of frames connected to the building jig, it is very flexible, so at this point, it would be very easy to build a lot of twist into the boat. So with spirit levels and an $85 laser from Stanley, I spent a few evenings (dark and cold) shimming, lifting, and securing the hull into a reasonable straight and level position before adding any bulkheads and decks in the Spring. There is a screw at the bow that allows me to swing a steel tape measure to triangulate and mark components perpendicular to the fore/aft axis.
