Anchor Deck Enclosure

This is where I am starting to deviate from the standard Tolman design. I don’t like the looks of homemade boats that appear to made up of slabs of plywood. To soften this look, I am introducing some additional curves. First is the anchor well will be connected to the shear deck. The top photo is my pattern making method using cardboard, tape, and sheet rock screws. This is angled back 12° and fits into the 16” radius of the deck. I glued blocks in place to use as attaching guides. The final in-fill with be 2 layers of 3mm ply. I thought about trying to figure this out with math, but in the end it was faster use “trial and trim” with cardboard templates and then transfer this to the plywood.

The anchor deck is also curved where it will join the forward cuddy cabin bulkhead.
