Anchor Deck

I did not document the construction of the floatation chamber, but it is exactly to the specs that Renn Tolman published in his book. From here on I will be deviating  on the Jumbo design and customizing this boat quite a bit. Here is the bracing for the anchor deck and the bulkhead separating the wet storage from the cuddy cabin.
The bow painter will go through the copper pipe that Renn recommends which is already glassed in before the anchor deck was installed. Yes, it hurt to make the first cut into the virgin hull. Off to the right is a small scupper to drain the storage area. Wet anchor line will feed into this area from the deck through a stainless deck pipe. The drain was over-drilled, filled with epoxy and then re-drilled. It will be covered with a midget vent that will deflect hull spray and allow for water to flow from the lowest point in the compartment.
