Fast Forward to Spring, 2006.

 

A long, cold, wet Spring kept me away from the boat for 5 months. When this photo was taken, the seams were taped, and it was time to glass the sides. Even though I have built one canoe, I have not mastered glassing. I have tried putting glass on a wet surface, on a dry surface, with rollers, squeegees, etc. By the time I finish this boat, I might have it figured out.

 

For skin protection I use nitrile gloves and tyvek sleeves.
